Keep it cool, my friend! The last hour of daylight is pure magic, so you gotta hang tight until it’s officially lights out. But here’s the tricky part: you can’t scare the deer away when you’re leaving your stand. If you’re parked up on a crop field, why not get a buddy to come pick you up in a sweet ride or a cool tractor? The deer are probably used to farm equipment, so they won’t freak out and disappear when they hear it. Don’t get busted now!

“Patience, grasshopper! If you want that big, impressive buck, don’t settle for a small fry. The older bucks tend to show up later at feeding spots during early hunting season. So, hold off on pulling that trigger and wait for the right buck to come along.
Check out the corn fields! You can totally catch a snoozing deer in the standing corn, then follow him to where he goes for grub. Perfect for sneaky stalking! Pick a spot in the corn rows and wait for the deer to make an entrance. When you get a clear shot, use the tall, leafy corn as your cover to get a good angle on your target.”
Hang tight for some daylight snapshots. It’s awesome to catch a glimpse of that massive buck you’re after in the dead of night, but let’s be real, we all need those daytime pics for proof that he’s really there. Don’t push your luck until you’ve got visual evidence of your buck stepping out during the day.
Head out into the woods. Those wily deer that are used to being hunted will probably hold off on visiting those farm fields until the very last minute. Outsmart them by setting up your stand 50-75 yards away from the field’s edge and nab ’em as they make their way to grab a bite to eat.
